Editor's review:

Converter "SharePDF" allows conversion of PDF files to most popular graphic formats jpg, gif, png, bmp and tiff. It is easy to use and does not require any special skills.

Pros: This application is positioned for situations where one may need to get a PDF document to be printed but a fr4ee Acrobat reader may not be available. This converter quickly converts the PDF files into one of the popular image file formats supported. Formats supported are JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP and TIFF.

The interface is very simple and supports a simple conversion process. The application let you choose the file to be converted through windows explorer. Once selected pages are displayed, one could choose to select one particular page or all pages for conversion.

Output file and folder is selected next. Image format is then selected. It could be any one of the above formats that are supported by the application. On Jpeg format one can make a choice between compression/file size and quality. Higher compression gives a smaller file size but the image may not have the best quality. If need be the image sizes can be changed as appropriate. Height and width can be chosen independently. Two controls exist for single conversion and convert all options. On clicking on one of these the conversion is done.

Cons: The independent control of height and width of the resulting image does not make sense. Unless the aspect ratio or the ratio between height and width is maintained the document is going to be distorted. It’d make much more sense to keep these two linked together so that changing one changes the other automatically maintaining the ratio.

Overall the application meets its stated functionality very well, but why would one be in such a situation that a free Acrobat is not available is hard to imagine. This comes in at 3 stars.
