Pros: NeuroXL Package works with Microsoft Excel. It is a package of couple of neural net based software items. The two modules are PredictorXL and ClassifierXL. The [predictor helps predict trends. Being based on neural nets it is capable of learning from examples of trend spotting by experts. NeuroXL Predictor (PredictorXL) can quickly and accurately solve forecasting and estimation problems in Microsoft Excel. It helps experts predict outcomes of real events. There’s no learning about neural nets involved with the modules. The details of the technology are buried and the users need to learn how to operate the package only.
The Predictor provides five transmission functions Threshold, Hyperbolic tangent, Zero-based log-sigmoid, Log-sigmoid and Bipolar sigmoid.
