SwifferChart is a dynamic flash graph generator based on a simple xml. You can use SwifferChart to present data graphically to business users in intranet/internet applications.
Pros: This piece of program is a solution to publication of charting data on the internet or enterprise intranet. SwifferChart will generate a graph in Flash from the data supplied in XML. There’s a whole series of charting options possible with this package. Starting from the usual bar charts, line charts and pie charts, one could choose to have multi-series line charts with regression analysis and segment highlights, clustered, stacked and stacked-percent bar and column charts or measure your sales performance with the sales funnel chart.
One could present data in dashboard format with gauges and dials or present geographical distribution of data with map overlays. Or combine multiple options above to do a combo chart even.
Multimedia presentations like video and images can have charts superimposed or specific data points linked to web page or some detailed report. A graphical toolbox has support for adding annotation, graphical shapes as pointers to interesting data etc. Several XML files of sample data is available for trial and learning the exact ways to integrate the SwifferChart package. Fairly well documented code and samples including a CSS file.
Cons: No problems detected, nothing adverse that can cause trouble.
Overall: Quite a useful tool that adds substantial value to data presented on a website or a company intranet. This package deserves a 4 star rating easily.
