This is a tool that can help remove blank pages from a PDF document.
When creating PDF documents from scanned pages it so often happens that lot of blank pages get included. This is due to the fact that a scanned page does not contain any content due to problems in the scanner. Particularly, if you are getting high speed automatic scanning done. When your software creates PDFs out of these scanned pages, these blank pages often get bound into the document. In software, you can easily check for percentage of area covered by printed material or images. This test could be as simple as the percentage of pixels in the page area that are not white. A little more sophisticated test would be to check if nonwhite pixels are disconnected, which simply means scanning noise pixels. This software detects such blank pages and is able to delete them automatically.
This has a simple interface. No computer users should find any problems with getting work done with it. This actually lets you process a batch of documents at one time. You can not only create a batch but also change the order in which the processing will be carried out. Individual pages as well as page ranges could be specified in various ways. Margins can be defined so that perforated areas are avoided on the scanned pages. The deleted pages could be backed-up as a separate document, if you want. If you have the problem, this is a good candidate to try out. Do look out for false positives and false negatives during trial.
