PPT To PDF Scout converts PowerPoint presentation into searchable PDF documents. Protection of resulting PDF document from copying, editing, printing by setting up master and/or user password can be set up.
Pros: This application, PPT to PDF scout helps create a PDF document. The PDF thus created is searchable and one does not need the Acrobat tools. The PDF document is useable with Acrobat readers 4.0 and higher.
The PDF document created can be used as a handout or a downloadable document that not only looks better in PDF form but also is a better printable document.
The conversion process is simple and can be set up through a simple interaction with the program user screens. Initially one needs to specify the input file and an output file. The default output file is named the same as the input file in the same folder with PDF extension of course. Settings for security and page margins then can be set up and the conversion process started with a single mouse click. The process is reasonable fast too.
One can set up several page sizes through the page set up screen besides orientation and margins. Security options encrypt the pages with 40/128 bit encryption and one could stop printing of the documents, copying, modifying of the document etc. A master and a user password also can be set.
Unicode support provides Multilanguage handling capability for the program.
Cons: No obvious problems noticed with the application.
Overall a very simple, easy to use application that does its intended function extremely well. Fit candidate for a 5 star rating.
