A-PDF Password Security program keeps watch on a single or multiple folders for PDF files. When the files are moved or copied to a specified monitored folder, password is set automatically to PDF files. It supports 40-bit or 128-bit encryption password protection. This program runs in the background so no one will have a clue about the presence of the program.

You can add folder to monitor by click "Add Folder" button. PDF password security service setting dialog is open to set directory setting. You can set monitored directory, all files added in this directory will be encrypted and saved to output directory. All the operations are recorded in log file; you can set your log file directory. If you set backup directory, the original files will moved to that directory. You can set two different types of passwords. Document Open Password, to open the file for reading and Permissions Password, this is used to restrict permissions. There are 7 types permissions such as Printing, Document Assembly, Allow Form Fill-in or Signing, Comments, Changing, Copy of content and Content Accessibility Enabled. On the main screen you can see the list of folder, for the selected folder you can see your setting options such as security method, open password, permission and log file path. You can edit this by simply go to edit folder and change. The services will be started automatically when you reboot the computer.
Overall: This is a nice utility to set restriction for your PDF files present in the defined password security folders. User interface is nicely designed; you can perform all activities from a single screen.
