This is a tool that lets you export data from Oracle to Access database.
OracleToAccess lets export of Oracle data to Access database quickly and easily. This is a tool for the database administrator and developers. The interface is one of the strong points of the program. It makes it all very easy. You pick things through a click and start the transfer. The things you pick are the destination file in Access. On the Oracle side you choose the schema first. You are given a list of tables to choose from in the schema. You can decide to export all the tables, of course. The same tabular display shows you how many rows the table has/ was transferred from the table. Destination table name also appears there. By default, it is the same as the source table, unless you decide to change. The result of the export is shown when done. This table is a very useful indicator of how exactly the transfer is happening.
The typical indicators of progress also are included. There is a progress bar and you have a tab in the interface to monitor the logs. In case of any eventuality, you get an indicator why a problem happened. Transfer of multiple tables happen at the same time. Export through query is also available. You can also schedule transfers and do it through the command line. When things are to be done on a regular basis this scheduling would be useful; you can reuse session parameters that were saved before. As the tool supports Unicode, the language of the data is handled properly, no problems with multi-byte languages. This is definitely a useful tool, though the font used for the interface could have been different!
