GIRDAC PDF Converter is an enterprise application for converting PDF documents to Microsoft Word .DOC, .DOCX, and .RTF file formats, and plain text file. It extracts images from PDF documents. It also converts Word documents to PDF documents.
It converts PDF documents with six Layout options:
(a) Flowing: Converts PDF documents retaining the format with text, columns, tables and images.
(b) Continuous: Converts PDF documents picking out text, columns, tables and images with format, no page gaps.
(c) Exact: Converts PDF documents by making several segments same as text boxes Microsoft Word.
(d) Formatted text: Converts PDF documents retaining the format and text, discarding images.
(e) Plain text: Converts PDF documents by extracting text without format.
(f) Images: Converts PDF documents by picking images only.
It makes converted document easily editable.
It converts PDF documents to .RTF and .TXT formats without Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader installed.
It supports 60 user interface languages: Afrikaans, Albanian, Arabic, Armenian, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Chinese Simple, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Estonian, Farsi, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Maltese, Norwegian, Papiamentu, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian Urdu, Vietnamese, Welsh and Yiddish.
It provides seven User Interface styles: Office 2000, Office 2002, Office 2007, Vista Black, Vista Aqua and Vista Silver.
Its trial version converts up to three pages for ten PDF files.

The application PDF Converter 2.11 converts a lot of text file formats into PDF.
Pros: PDF Converter converts 100 file formats to PDF including searchable Word to PDF, TXT to PDF, PSD to PDF , DWF to PDF, EMF to PDF , TIF to PDF , PNG to PDF , GIF to PDF , PCD to PDF , PSP to PDF , EPS to PDF , TGA to PDF , BMP to PDF , ICO to PDF, DWG to PDF, DXF to PDF, CMW to PDF, IMG to PDF, IFF to PDF, J2K to PDF, JP2 to PDF, PSP to PDF, EPS to PDF, WMF to PDF, DCR to PDF, PPM to PDF, PTK to PDF, PCD to PDF, JBG to PDF. This feature alone, if all these options work without a problem, makes it a very useful package. Several options we tried worked without trouble.
PDF Converter sets itself up as a printer option. All that one needs to do is open the file to be converted and command a print while choosing the PDF Converter option. An options screen appears, one could set several options here or let the default settings take effect. Options available include a set of security settings and authoring details. Conversion happens without any problems.
Cons: Files converted can be saved at various levels of Acrobat compatibility. Unfortunately compatibility with reader version 5.0 is the latest whereas current level of the reader is 8.0.
Overall a very simple to use package, the PDF converter 2.11 has a nice interface too. 4 star quality.
