We need to read a million things like emails, web pages, books, documents and more in the course of a day`s work. It helps increase reading speed by breaking two habits that make us read slow. Sub-vocalization or actually pronouncing the words read mentally and the re-reading or the regression that makes us go back and read the words again. By presenting text at a faster speed the program makes the sub-vocalization impossible and as text is flashed and new text presented the opportunity to re-read is taken away too. The games, exercises and drills also reduce the eye fixation time or the tendency to spend time at a spot on the page, expands the eye-fixation zone and improves re-fixation speed or the ability to move to a new zone faster.
