The trial version I tested failed miserably against a short (800 words) test Word document I used that I knew had many plagiarized passages from at least 5 web sources. I was able to on my own using Google find theses sources, and Plagiarism-Finder 1.0.9. found only two short passages, and not even to the correct web source. I played a littel with the options but to no avail. I cannot recommend this software, and will continue using my intuition and Google to find copied passages, unless I learn of a better way to hunt for plagiarism. Prof. Terry Delaney, Univ. of Vermont
