Any user defined equation of nine parameters and up to eight variables can be accommodated. Linear equations are handled too. The regression analysis determines the values of the parameters that cause the function to best fit the observed data. This process is also called curve fitting. Thousands of data points can be accommodated in seconds This gives you a quick way of finding the ideal model that fit the observed data. The application can handle nonlinear exponential, logarithmic and power equations. The program uses a 38 digit math emulator for this curve fitting.
The application will show up the result graphically so that you can also visually check if the results are alright. The Curvefitter automatically sorts draws graphs of the fitted curve by statistical criteria of standard error. A residual graph as well as parameter output is generated for the selected fitted equation. The review curve fit window provides the view. It is possible to import data from Excel, Lotus and in ASCII formats. Once the data has been created in the editor, you can create custom equation set and get the curve fitting process started with a single click. The interface is intuitive, easy to use and easy to learn.
