This application makes a scientific calculator available to Windows users.
Sicyon calculator v5.0 is an all-in-one scientific calculator and could be useful for students, professors, researchers or developers. Anybody working in the physics, chemistry / science or engineering using formulas and tables of constants will find this tool useful. The application has a simple interface that should look familiar to most people who have used a handheld scientific calculator. Thus, there would not be any significant need for familiarization or training to get started with the application. The interface buttons are organized as they are on an actual hardware calculator. It lets your users to calculate or analyze expressions or program functions (VBScript / Jscript) in addition. This application is provided free to users under Apache license, version 2.0. Math expressions using variables and user-defined functions can be easily evaluated. User defined functions could be accessed through specific buttons.
This tool being the equivalent of a programmable calculator, it can execute snippets of VBScript code in the main window. Plot / tabulate a function is provided in explicit or parametric mode. You should be able to draw many curves / surfaces on the same chart. 2D and 3D graphs could be combined. Minima and maxima could be found of these charts. This calculator is able to solve a nonlinear system of equations and will find all the solutions of a nonlinear system of up to six equations. Curve fitting features are available. A batch of data sets can be fitted to the same function and fitted coefficient results and batch statistics in a table can be found. More than 3300 functions can be tried over a single data set, and best fitted functions with their coefficients are made available. Customizable HTML reports for all math procedures are made available. This is a very good tool.
