Pros: Omega Enterprise Manager is an integrated solution for many regular office functionalities. It is a general administrative solution. Many aspects of a business can be managed from this one application. You are able to create professional quality managerial reports such as sales summaries, profit margins, employee schedules, orders, cost summaries and so on. The administrative solution for billing includes features such as billing and accounting reports, inventory, customers, suppliers and a database for all customers. Inventory helps locate and account for every item that you hold. Customers module helps keep track of good customers and not so good ones, suppliers data will help you locate and obtain a component as soon as possible.
The interface presents the functionalities as billing, customers, products, employees, reports, My company, My accounts, Change user and Quit software. There`s a help option that leads to detailed help. Billing leads to creation of invoice page. User is required to fill in some details and the rest is pre-formatted. Customers option leads to browsing capabilities such as See customers, See customer categories and default values. Products option leads to a sub menu of See PO, See Suppliers, See products and See product categories. Employees option gives you alternatives see employees, see holdback codes and see payroll periods. Reports can be generated in categories inventory, products to order, executive sales summary, orders summary, payroll summary, accounts summary, receivables summary, customers list, suppliers list and employees list.
Cons: The interface is quite cluttered on many of the pages. For example whenever a list is asked for (say customers list) a lot of details are shown related to each customer. It`d probably make sense to show a list of just customers first and then show details when a particular customer is selected.
Overall: The application has nice set of features that lets it do its job well. It is good for a 4 star rating.
