FinanCal for Excel is a special financial calculator toolbox for users who need to solve the most usual financial calculations directly into their Excel spreadsheets.

Pros: The application sets up financial calculation on different sheets so that the user need not figure out the formulas to be used for the same. Common financial calculations are catered for with scope for customization. The calculators are easy to use, with many features and options. Essential Financial Calculators for calculations of Appreciation, Assets, Cash Flow, Home Mortgage rates, Future Values of Savings, Loan Spreads and more. Users only need to enter the data and FinanCal for Excel will automatically show the results, which then can be exported to a new workbook for customization. There are some 16 sets of calculations available. Four of these are financial analysis, three are for valuation of flows, six sets for loan related calculations, two personal & miscellaneous stuff and one for inversions. These include periodic mixed cash flows, growth, flows with constant growth, ratios, Gordon growth model, price/earnings, products mix & break even point, bonds , loans with payments, payment schedule, discounted notes (factoring), comparison of mortgage alternatives, conversions and miscellaneous calculations and live currency converter.

Cons: For those who understand the basis of all these calculations, it is a real time saving device. However theoretical grounding in these issues is essential to use these effectively. The program itself is easy to use though.

Overall it is a nice productivity aid to financial calculations. Quite easy to use too but will need some effort to understand for the uninitiated in the financial issues. On the whole I guess this package rates a 4 star category easily.
