The iPod Image Extractor Program allows you to view and extract photos from the iPod to your PC. The extracted Photos will be in the PNG format. The iPod Photo Database is created by iTunes, and is stored in "/Photos/Photo Database"

Pros: The iPod Image Extractor Program communicates with iPod to extract images from iPod database. When started, the program automatically determines if an iPod is connected. If an iPod is not found in the designated directory it allows you to specify the directory from where to find the images. The image extractor have two viewers inside it. One is the image browser and the image viewer. The image browser lets you view thumbnails, up to 100 at a time. It`ll let you scroll through the thumbnails up, down, left or right using the scroll bar. The viewer would let you view an image and its id.

You are able to specify the destination folder on the PC that would hold the images extracted. Windows explorer like file browsing is available. While a 24 bit color resolution at 800x600 pixels is adequate, best results are obtained when using 32 bit color at the same 800 x 600 pixels. User interface theme/color scheme is user selectable. Options available are default Metal and then Ocean, Moody Blue and White Satin. Platforms supported include Windows XP, professional SP 1 or later, Windows Vista, Windows 2000 Professional SP 3 and Advanced server SP3.

Cons: Though there is a help button, it did not contain anything yet. Looks like it is planned but the content has not been created.

Overall: Clean and simple interface with a good set of functionality makes this a very good 3 star item.
