There are several ways to make an existing or new device work with AggreGate. AggreGate is the device management platform. There is one RAW mode in which devices communicate in their native device protocol and communicate with the Linkserver, the core of AggreGate. You could communicate with devices with a standard protocol like the SNMP, MODBUS or OPC. You could use a software agent, available from the same manufacturer, to connect to an existing device. It might even need a hardware adapter from the company. A software agent or a module can be built into the new device being developed. What all this does is a uniform interface to these devices being managed through the Linkserver.

For new designs, the programmable controller can be built directly into the product.
Devices that use standard automation, control and monitoring protocols (such as OPC, Modbus, BACNet, SNMP, etc.) are supported directly, no software/hardware protocol conversion is required.
