Pros: Desktop Ergonotes is general purpose utility software that allows the user to create an easily accessible data store that saves the desired notes in a tree format. This software provides functionality somewhat like that of personal diaries that allow arranging information in alphabetic order; only difference is that it allows creation of customized categories as it uses XML file system. Due to XML, a new node is appended as soon as a new category is created and also encapsulates the corresponding data. These nodes could be differentiated from one another by using set of 250 built-in icons to choose from. With tree structure and that number of available icons there’s going to be no upper limit for appending the data to the nodes. Another notable feature of software is that of secured nodes that enables users to store critical data in personalized nodes that can be accessed through passwords. Passwords are encrypted using strong GOST algorithm. Ergonotes provides search functionality that allows for category or keyword based searches to retrieve the desired data from large data chunks. The Alarm functionality prompts of important events if data in the nodes consists of date and time formats. Clipboard provides cut-copy-paste utility between nodes themselves and Ergonotes and other applications. This application can be operated in full-screen as well as adjustable window mode. The downloaded file contains separate setups for desktop and pocket computer versions. Ergonotes requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to be installed on computer.
