Powerful and affordable hydraulic calculations software for automatic fire sprinkler systems. TSHC has all the features you need to efficiently enter system data, evaluate and analyze results, and produce professional hydraulic calculation reports.
Pros: The Simple Hydraulic Calculator will hydraulically calculate your sprinkler systems using the Hazen-Williams friction loss formula in accordance with NFPA 13.It can handle grids, trees, loops, and virtually any custom system you create or even multiple water sources. Over 32,000 nodes and 32,000 pipes may be used in a system. This hydraulic calculation software for automatic fire sprinkler systems has all the features you need to enter system data, evaluate and analyze results, and produce professional hydraulic calculation reports. Wet, dry, preaction, tree, loop, gridded, and custom systems may all be calculated. Multiple water sources, multiple booster pumps, multiple fixed loss devices, negative elevations, metric and U.S. units, automatic peaking, and velocity pressures are all supported.
One can enter your sprinkler system data using a fully featured syntax -highlighting editor. Errors are highlighted in real time and Command formats are shown at the bottom of the window. Proposed entries are anticipated and the next command or parameter can be automatically typed for you. Comments can be included on every line. Plus, the "popup helper" eliminates the need to memorize fitting codes or pipe material codes. These prompts come up as the context demands it. Up to 8 alphanumeric names allow pipes and nodes to be named meaningfully. There’s a wizard to help out too. Evaluating a design is important. Calculation results window with all relevant system, pipe, and node data helps do that. The data can even by sorted by specific values by a click on the column headings. The result window and the calculator window can be on simultaneously so that required changes can be made on the fly.
When everything’s done it will print a professional hydraulic calculation report with a comprehensive summary page, full pipe and node information, and source, device, and hydraulic graphs suitable for presentation to approving authorities.
Cons: No problematic issues noticed.
Overall: Quite a useful program for an important area of a specific professional. Easy to use and easily rates a 4 star category.
