The application makes Paging/ text messaging easier pagers, cell phone and PDA’s.

Pros: This enables sending text messages to most wireless device. The interface is divided into two clear areas. One is for entering and editing the text message you want to sent out. Three of standard message such as call home, call office and urgent can be entered by a single click. Add your name by a single click again. Specify to whom it is to be sent, attach a subject line and you are ready to send the message. You can send the message as a e-mail also. On the left are features that allow you to maintain contacts database, create group addresses and specify carriers. The list carriers specify a large number of carriers. All contacts entered into InstaPage must be assigned to a wireless carrier, otherwise the program will not be able to communicate with the contact’s wireless device. InstaPage comes pre-loaded with several wireless carriers, but you can enter virtually unlimited carriers to the system. You may need to contact the carrier or visit their website for some of the information. Default values are entered into fields that most carriers have in common. You can change this information as needed. Perfect for PTA members or soccer moms & dads. Create and store brief messages for future use. View sent messages in the Journal. The Contacts entry form is where you will add individual contact information. On the free version of the software, you will only be able to enter three individual contact records. The full version of InstaPage, you will be able to enter virtually unlimited records.

Cons: Some of the controls on the interface are not self-explanatory, need to read up the manual to clearly understand what’s to be done. Gathering all the information when adding a carrier can be quite difficult.

Overall a 3 star rating would be good for this application.
