actiTIME is a free web based, standalone, multi-platform timesheet that is streamlined for billing and management purposes. actiTIME directly integrates with QuickBooks. It is very clear and easy to use.

The way it is organized is, you can record time for tasks and billable and non-billable time for each. Each task time can be rolled up into project time and project times can be rolled up into a customer account.

Not only billable and non-billable categories, you can define your own custom billing types too.. Pulled together these features facilitate time collection for variety of business purposes. The application is seamlessly integrated into QuickBook, one of the leading accounting software. actiTIME uses common programming language Java, open data formats and several supported databases. That makes integration with other applications quite easy. actiTIME also provides reporting and data exports that make working along with other applications a simple process. The data display is convenient. They are in a tabular format with appropriate totals shown in columns that are meaningful. Access to task list, customer and project lists makes it quite convenient.

Overall: Browser based operation makes it very convenient. Overtime is calculated automatically, if you like. Some form of recording the time automatically would have been useful.
