TickerLog software can be used to keep a journal of stock trades in your own PC. It presents completed trades and open positions in easy to use, color coded table format which can be used to review and analyze past trades effectively.

Keeping logs of stock trades now is possible easily with this application on the desktop. Each log can be logged in a moment. The interface is quite intuitive. Keeping track of wins, losses and expectancy van be maintained with each trade made. Up date the data journal even with your emotions. Color codes are used effectively so that trends and problems are evident immediately.

Creating the journal is easy through its easy to use interface. The controls required to create an entry are easily accessible. The interface consists of three panels that are the trade summary panel, trade entry panel and the completed & open positions tables. A composite of these three is the interface. Trade summary panel summarizes and displays consolidated amounts of wins, losses, expectancy and the portfolio amount. Expectancy changes color for positive and negative expectancy for easy identification. Edit summary tab allows items on the trade summary page to be edited, one can add cash, remove cash and reset win/losses, expectancy etc. Trade entry let you enter the data related to a trade. Keep a log of all important fields and track any additional data you would like in the comments field. Completed and open positions are just that a log of completed and open positions suitably color coded. So that on one looks one gets a feel of the overall picture.

Cons: Whatever decision is to be made is based on one’s own history, market movement and technical analysis data is not available.

Overall an easy to use application that can provide insight into trades being made and to be made. This is certainly good for a 3 star rating.
