This is a software utility that lets you manage hand punch for attendance remotely.
HandPunch Admin is a free HandPunch manager software. It lets you manage your HandPunch remotely from your desktop. This tool allows both direct serial connection or over the web TCP/IP based communication. The web based connection could be via local IP or via a host name with custom port number. The machines that are compatible with the utility include HP1000, HP1000E, HP2000, HP2000E, HP3000, HP3000E, HP4000 and HP4000E. This utility lets you view the machine’s specifications and then calibrate the unit so that hand print identification works with minimum of problems. User management for a given hand punch is also available. That includes features like adding a user, deleting a user or exporting a particular user to another machine or other applications via CSV files. Modifications that could be done to a user are change of their access level, threshold, time zone and name.
As part of the collecting of data on attendance, the date and time of the machine could be altered. The date could be in one of many formats available with the tool. The interface is simple and well laid out. The controls are easily accessible so that just about anybody could become productive on the tool quickly and easily. The data collected could be displayed in a well organized, tabular format. The details available include name, id, access level, hand template, threshold, time zone, etc. this is quite a nice and handy tool when you need to set and/or manage existing hand punch machines.
