Pros: The latest version can compare and merge binary files also with full editing support right in comparison panes. Also, Compare It! can display images side-by-side. That is the nicest feature of the user friendly interface. On the two panels side by side you get to see the contents. Color coding is used effectively to show original content and a different color highlights the differences between the two files.

Automatch rules allow you to visually align lines in structured files using extracted key values.

Being a comparator for code, binary, text, HTML and many other data types there are some features available which eminent sense. For example IFilter helps extracting text from non-text files, or remove formatting, e.g. you can view HTML files without tags. It is possible to ignore comments with RegExps, but additionally now this could be done with simple options, and it will work for all supported syntaxes. Separate mode will help in case there’s no need to align different lines. With unlock scroll the dual panes can be scrolled independently of each other.
