Features: Word Reader is an easy-to-use Free program that lets you read documents created by MS Word. That includes the Word 2003 as well as Word 2007 documents. Whether DOC or DOCX, RTF or plain text the reader can handle all of them. It reads the HTML/HTM formats as well. it is a multilingual software, including English, Chinese, German, French, Italian, Japanese etc.
The interface is on the style of a PDF reader. It is quite intuitive. The file menu has the usual file related menu items including print menu items. Edit menu options allow some copy and paste options. Several levels of undo/redo is available. View menu allows you many toolbars to be enabled/disabled. These include print, page, zoom toolbars as well as view mode, hand and find toolbars. Full screen, zoom in/ out, actual size and automatic scroll are some other options available. The set menu item lets you set font size, hand tool, select tool and language etc.
Overall: Document menu option apparently should lead you to appropriate documentation about using the program but these options do not lead anywhere. Help tab is more about on-line support, buying the product etc.
