DetachPipe helps you to detach attachments from your email and save them to disk, while leaving a clickable link in the email in its place. This reduces file size of your PST files and that helps to improve Outlook speed. You can perform this activity manually and automatically.
Features: DetachPipe is add-in to Microsoft outlook. After installation Detachpipe menu gets added to Outlook. It has many options to remove your email attachment from the email. It supports many features like detach, save, delete, restore and compress your attachment.
Application allows you to perform settings. It has four type of tabs for detach settings like Detach setting, General, Large attachment and placeholder. With Detach setting you can specify how to handle attachment of incoming and outgoing mails. Application provide various option like "do nothing", "detach automatically using setting" like compress attachment, “delete to recycle bin” “direct delete” or retain attachment icon on email and ignore email of specified size etc. You can set autodetach option by specifying the start folder, schedule the time and define the process which needs to be performed. With general option you can check options as per our requirement, options are "Check deleted emails for attachment to delete", "don`t prompt to delete associated attachment when emails are deleted", "check forwarded emails for attachment to send" etc. DetachPipe generates attachment filenames using a mask where the filename will be subject name and attachment name, followed by extension.
