Today we are living in the age of machines which are used in almost every sphere of our lives. Right from the invention of wheel, we have developed technology which can make our tasks easier in our homes, streets, offices, industries etc. There is always a fascination as to the potential capabilities of our future machines and some fictional movies like terminator and the transformers series, have been made on the theme of ultimate domination of our planet by machines. This fascination for the metal action has given rise to a number of action games, one such game being Battletech v.1.0.

Battletech is freeware action game which is a remake of the older version of this game developed by SEGA for Genesis game consoles. Now the same action and thrill has been brought to you once again for your Windows PC. The game opens with a short movie which sets the story of the game and then the player is guided to the weapons setup screen for his metal beast. The game comes with a 3D interface and nice animation effects of moves, explosions and shoots and action oriented graphics. The player has to control a machine controlled by a brave Mechwarrior, which can walk and run and has been made for pure destruction. This warrior fights against the brutal enemies through the various levels in the game by piloting his Mech which is equipped with any three of the nine futuristic attacking weapons like Particle Projection Canon, Arrow six missiles, Gauss rifle, Large laser, Autogun, Machine gun, long range missiles, mines etc.

To conclude with, Battletech v.1.0 is an action packed game which demonstrates the futuristic battle between the metal mayhems and will fire waves of thrill inside you vain, leading it to a score of three and a half rating points on the scale of five.
