A basic calendar utility that enables you to store events and maintain day to day schedules.

Pros: Cotton Calendar is a calendar utility that enables you to maintain schedules on a daily basis. There are several different views in which you can follow your schedule: daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly (it also provides a raw schedule view which only shows your upcoming schedules). Cotton Calendar also enables you to store contacts. It automatically handles repeating events and reminders are set up for them. Each event is stored by event name, event type, a date, time, a tag and a flag saying whether it is a repeating event and if so, how often.

Cons: Since there are many similar software packages available both as downloadable solutions as well as standalone packages, the USP has to be the quality of the interface and the overall usability of the software. This is where this software falls woefully short. As such it looks like any number of VB based packages with no effort whatsoever given to actually developing an interface. And given that, there is no point paying for something like this. All the functionality that is in here is also available on a standard Windows calendar. Had this software had additional functionality as maintaining lists and notes it would have been a little bit more attractive.

Overall: 2 stars. It does the task of maintaining a calendar well. But it does very little in addition to that. And as it stands the interface is just too simplistic for it to be a serious day to day solution for your scheduling needs.
