SDMS – A SIMPLE DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

SDMS, as its name implies, was deliberately designed to be simple. It has a small footprint and short learning curve, so that that you can deploy it rapidly and start using it immediately.

You might use SDMS for anything from a small, personal document database through to a medium-sized document repository.

SDMS allows you to arrange documents in a simple hierarchy up to five levels deep.

You create each document with its own unique level-dependent title and number. To reduce workload and decrease errors, SDMS automatically synchronises all five levels of Document Titles and Document Numbers as you edit the documents.

On top of this, SDMS has our NotesTracker (TM) technology built in, at no charge to you! So, by using SDMS you can see NotesTracker in operation and gain an appreciation of the potential of NotesTracker.

SDMS gives you powerful document usage tracking capabilities, in summary:
** Tracking of document Creates
** Tracking of document Deletions
** Tracking of document Reads
** Tracking of document Updates, including field content changes
** Tracking of View opens

All of the above is for both the Notes Client and the Web Browser environments.

The newest SDMS feature is a "Breaking News" view, automatically refreshed every 60 seconds (in the Notes Client environment), that highlights all new and recently updated documents in your SDMS database.
