A software that was specially designed for writers to help them keep track of their submissions and sent queries.

Pros: For those users who are consistent writers who send out submissions frequently, or those who have stuff that they are looking to publish and are sending out bunches of query letters – here is a tool that helps you manage this process of pre-publication. It helps you keep track of contact data for publishers as well as agents. Keep track of queries that you have sent out and those that remain pending (i.e. those that you have entered on the list but are yet to send). Keep track of those manuscripts, where you have sent them and when (so that you can inquire about its status if enough time has passed). The same can be done for all your submissions by publication name. All this information can be downloaded to an excel so that you can print it out for easy reference.

Cons: The software concept is a good one, but sadly it has not been implemented well enough. Since it is an early version it is likely that future offerings will be better. As it stands now it is useful but it lacks a decent interface and the user experience is less than satisfactory. The attempt at getting an Office 2007 style interface is less than professional looking. It is also not easy to add submissions and queries as you desire it. There ought to be some filtering by type or region or something of that sort. All in all, we look forward to the next version. Perhaps that would also have a predefined list of publications and publishers such as the one on the Poets and Writers website (www.pw.org).

Overall: 3 stars. This kind of software is going to be useful for most writers out there. But frankly it needs a better interface and significant overall improvement for it to become a replacement of rigorously maintained notepad lists.
