There is a built-in backup system in Alpha Journal that reminds you to backup each time you close the journal. You can protect your entries to the journal with a password. This prevents others from viewing your journal. Alpha Journal has a set of compatible file formats that allows you to import and export files including standard TXT and RTF formats.
