The Friendly Diary helps keep a personal journal of day to day thoughts, feelings, dreams, ideas and important events. It supports multiple diaries for each member of a family. Helps keep track of anniversaries, has spell checking and a selection of skins.

Pros: The Friendly Diary is an excellent way to keep a personal journal of day to day thoughts, feelings, dreams, ideas and important events of your life. Several documents driven by the calendar can be created. There’s a simple editor that helps create the notes on each page. One could add an icon per page from a set built in the diary. Background color scheme, or the skin, can be changes by clicking through a fixed sequence. There’s a simple spell check also available.

Tools available have back up and restore options. Additional tools help format the diary pages into Word/RTF documents. Birthdays/Anniversary dates can be noted. User interface is nicely laid out of course.

Cons: The birthdays can only be noted on the calendar but there are no way one can set reminders/alarms to these dates. Without that one can easily miss the dates.

The whole thing looks like a note making application with date available that has a simple editor with spell check! It is nicely organized but functionally not much that cannot be accomplished otherwise.
