Coin Collector is a software application for cataloging and organizing a coin collection. This is a free application and can be learned quickly. The interface makes it very easy to use and a lot of details can be recorded about each coin that you enter into the collection. The details that can be tagged onto any new entry, include category, denomination, condition, location, issue date, mint and grade and so on. This tool makes a customizable database of all the information on your coins in a single place. The data then can be browsed, printed out, and edited. Each field can be customized for your personal coin collection requirements. For example, if you want to keep track of the coin supplier or the designer it is easily possible.

The GUI is simple. It will let you view almost all the information items to be viewed and edited on the main screen. You can use the up down keys to browse through the items. When you are browsing through the specific coins, the details are displayed on the right and the item is highlighted on the left. You will see the image of the coin below the list, if you have included one in the database. The list is tabbed so that you can have a list that is organized by categories/types. Reports are flexible; besides the standard ones you can generate a few custom reports. This is quite a flexible tool that will help manage a sizable coin collection.

There are a number of printable reports as well. Some are standard reports that can be quickly printed, however, you can also set up your own custom reports to print just the data you need. The GUI is easy to navigate. Most of the information can be seen and accesses from the main screen. You can browse, search, and sort your coin data. Undo and copy functions are included. A graphic field can be used to input a picture of the coin. There are larger text fields as well where you can record whatever you want such as the history of the coin or a detailed description.
