Aml Pages is a notes organizer/outliner. It allows you to keep all your notes in a tree structure, arranging them as you like for Windows NT/98/ME/2000/XP/Vista.

Aml Pages is a notes organizer that allows you to keep all your notes in a tree structure, arranging them as you like.
Pros: This application is a notes organizer. You are able to create your own tree structure to keep the notes organized. The notes tree is fully customizable with node sorting, font size & color selection, icons and categories. Import/ export of pages or even dub tree can be done at will. Use the same tree for retrieving the notes later. While fresh pages, notes, diary entries could be made in the main interface page there are several plug-ins that help collect pages from the internet or create help pages. Pages can be snagged through Internet browser, Firefox or Opera. The architecture of the application caters for plug-ins and one can expect future plug-ins that implements added functionality.
The straight interface page for the application is almost exactly like the MS Word interface. Has almost identical feature for creating pages, notes, entries etc. Plain and formatted text support is available within notes; HTML formatting is supported. Create sticky notes and organize, add them to favorites. Programming language syntax support is available for several programming languages including Pascal, CSS, HTML, Java, PHP etc. Documents can have internal and external hyperlinks. Auto save feature ensures nothing is lost ever. This is supported by several back-up modes. Data compression during file saving and back ups saves space and encryption along with password protects the data from unauthorized access.
Editing is enhanced by features like advanced text search, introduction of auto text for frequently used expressions, syntax highlighting, formatting with styles and document bookmarks. Several filtering modes, where one can define when the change was made, helps find text sections one is looking for very easy. Finding a document is facilitated by either a tree view or folders explorer view.
Cons: The extensive collection of features can be overwhelming.
Overall the application rates a 3 star category.
