A music organizer that enables you to tag any number of music files in various audio and music formats.

Pros: The Jaikoz Tagger is an audio Tag editor for all kinds of music files. It enables you to edit, correct and organize all your songs. It supports Mp4, M4p, M4a, Flac, Ogg, in addition to the standard MP3. One of its most attractive features is the ability it has to acoustically recognize a given track and then use its online database to correct the tag information. These facilities are called and MusicBrainz and MusicIP that performs the function of recognizing tracks and matching them to the right information. MusicBrainz can also match files using the metadata contained within them, so in case of a match it doesn’t actually need to acoustically recognize a given track. A details panel shows all the tag information and allows for easy editing of the tag information. A Tag browser enables you to easily search and filter audio files. It automatically synchronizes v1 and v2 tags so that they will both be relevant for whichever player is used to play them. Additional Intelligent formatting options do things like adjust capitalization to make it proper, match files belonging to the same album to have a number of common fields, and a filename extractor that can extract relevant information from a filename.

Cons: With this kind of software there is an implicit assumption that the user has to be aware of the tagging process and perform it correctly. In case the user slacks then the effectiveness of the software is reduced. There are features here that make up for some of this but it still cannot manage to get everything in order. It is not completely accurate to be calling it correcting software. The interface is confusing and definitely needs improvement to make it more user-friendly in the future.

Overall: 4 stars. The music matching facilities (MusicBrainz, MusicIP) make it a really attractive package and indeed it manages to match a number of tracks correctly. However, like all such packages it is still dependent on the actual human user and how efficiently he / she enters information. The interface needs improvement.
