ProStockMaster helps thousands of stock photographers in preparing and uploading their images to leading microstock sites iStockPhoto, ShutterStock, DreamsTime, 123rf, BigStockPhoto, CanStockPhoto, LuckyOliver, Fotolia, Stockxpert and Alamy.
Pros: Online stock photography phenomenon allows amateur photographers earn some money from their hobby. When you shoot hundreds of pictures every month you can earn a very significant part of your living by selling them to Internet stock photography agencies. This application is a stock photo uploading tool, particularly for a Linux based machine. The application automates image processing and uploading to multiple microstock photo agencies that include StockPhoto, ShutterStock, DreamsTime, 123rf, BigStockPhoto, CanStockPhoto, Fotolia, Stockxpert, Alamy and sharing portfolio on sites likeMySpace.com. While sites like Getty images sells images at hundreds of dollars, the “micro” sites sell them for a few dollars. Usually there’s a revenue sharing arrangement with the photo/image owner. Some sites calculate a fixed price each sale of your image. It can also be an agreed percent of the final sale price for your image.
Uploads of photos are done with a single click. You can use a set of key words that would ease searching at the commerce sites. Similarly earnings statistics collection is not a problem with this application. This is capable of reading EXIF and IPTC information/metadata. Registration at these sites is usually simple and free. Many sites request you to send them detailed personal information, sometimes accompanied by a scan of your picture ID or the passport. Also, at many sites you will be requested to sign and fax back a signed copy of the site’s ‘submitter`s agreement’. These are designed to prevent frauds to the extent possible. Sometimes some stock photo sites will request you to clear an online test.
Cons: No issues noticed that are problematic.
Overall this is a 4 star quality application.
