Katarn Corp’s K-CD is a freeware CD player that will replace your old Windows CD player. It is totally free with no spyware and can be passed around to all your mates.

K-CD is extremely user friendly. It is as easy to use as the standard Windows CD player and you will appreciate this fact, especially if you aren’t technically inclined or wowed by the latest bells-and-whistles. It does automatic managing of audio CDs and compilations and can download track names from FreeDB using your Internet connection. If you have downloaded CD covers for your CD, it can display these as the CD plays, similar to putting your CD box on top of your stereo system for all to see what’s playing (i.e. showing off). It will even do a quick lyric search on the net at the touch of a button.

K-CD is a very robust CD player and is absolutely free. I highly recommend this great product to music aficionados everywhere.
