The resizing is done through resampling and incorporates bicubic and Lanczos3 like well know resampling filters.
Generate Thumbnails is easy to operate and takes you through a 5 step process to create the photo gallery. In the first step one is required to choose the photos. For doing that simply point the program to the requisite directories. In the second step of the process you are required to define the JPEG quality of the images to be exported as well as the quality required for the thumbnails. Image size, sorting options and if EXIF information of digital camera photos is going to be used it should be specified. Colors of links, the arrangement of thumbnail page, columns by rows are specified. You are given access to the code generated, should you require any tweaking to be done at this stage. The last page of the wizard takes you through the options of generating the pages. It also has a progress bar to indicate how the progress is. This is truly an automated process that works very well.
