There are lots of image viewers on the market: ones that were pioneers long ago, like Sea, others that cause religious wars among their fans, like Irfan View and ACDSee, others yet that you've never heard of, like FocusViewer.
FocusViewer is a curious image viewer that also incorporates some features of an image editor. It is a new program, built according to Windows XP interface standards, yet it's quite a simple viewer. The viewer shows you images in folders on your hard disk in quickly generated thumbnails. You can click on each image to view its original size, or select it and run the editor from the viewer 'File' menu to add one or more built-in effects. These include rotating, twisting, adding noise, smoothing, sharpening etc.
The viewer also lets you make any image your desktop wallpaper with just a couple of mouse clicks. All in all, it's a promising utility. Download it today and see it for yourself.

There are lots of image viewers out there, most of them freeware. While ones are quite sophisticated and powerful as ACDSee and IrfanView, giving the user some image editor features and slide show generators; others keep to the core - viewing images. FocusViewer is a good example of a basic image viewer.
FocusViewer is a tool that lets you view images stored on your hard disk or removable media. It has a familiar, one could even say predictable, interface with the main window divided in three areas: the disk explorer area, the image view area and the thumbnails area. As you browse a folder on your disk, all readable images are displayed with their thumbnails and info on their type, resolution, date etc. The range of supported image types is quite impressive: from BMP to CUT. There are basic file manager functions - you can copy and move images between folders.
There's one very useful feature: you can save all thumbnails of your images. Otherwise the program is pretty basic, and you should use it only if you don't need any advanced features but plain image viewing.
