A screensaver that displays your photos with GPU accelerated film-like effects.

Pros: MemoryShow Pro is a screensaver that lets you display a slideshow. The slide show can have a list of music files to be played. The items from the playlist can be played at random. You can add effects that include fade in/out, smooth zoom & pan, random cropping, nostalgia black & white, sepia and blue tone. If there’s a graphics card available in the system on-board acceleration can be utilized. How that helps is to create high-quality animation and extremely fast color processing. This can be used as a standalone slide show creator as well. Pixel Shader technology is used for hardware acceleration so that there’s low main processor usage. Additionally you get jaggy-free and glitch-free graphics on the machine. Photos are randomly sequenced so that it does not look like repetitions of the same set of photographs. Automatically rotate your photo to the right direction according to the EXIF metadata inside.

All the choices are set through the interface page. Specify the photo list and specify if subfolders are to be included in the folder defined. Specify random selection if you’d like that. Same settings for music files are available. Then there’s a series of options about the way the slide show will be created. Photo formats supported are JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG, GIF, EMF and music formats supported are MP3, WMA, WAV, MIDI, CDA, and other formats that your media player supports.

Cons: Some basic processing for the photos to be used would have been useful to bring the lot of photographs to same kind of quality.

Overall it is a nice application that is easy to learn and use. A 3 star item quite easily.
