You can record voice from microphone, internet streaming audio, or music played by Winamp, Windows Media Player, Quick Time, Real Player, Flash, games, etc. It is able to detect the format of the file being played in the sound card and adjust its own parameters for the most optimum results. The default parameters work in most cases, but you can change them easily to best suit your needs. Output file formats could be MP3, WAV, WMA, VGF and OGG.

Editing features available with the program makes it quite a bit of a professional recording studio. It can edit audio files as you desire by cutting, copying, pasting, trimming segments and employing various DSP effects. Scheduled recording is another very useful feature. Voice activation recording saves a lot of file space as it can help skip silent passages. This is particularly useful for recording streamed media from the Internet where there can be gaps in the media stream because of congestion in the network. Recording quality is of CD quality.
