AutoCAD DWG to Image Converter is a batch converter that allows you to convert DWG and DXF files to TIF (TIFF), JPG (JPEG), BMP, GIF and PNG without the need of AutoCAD.
Features: AutoCAD DWG to Image Converter converts drawings to images and does not need the AutoCAD to be present. Just the images are convenient for vendors, suppliers and many other collaborators who do not need to modify the drawings but do need to look at the drawings. Besides using them for printing, web publishing or DTP becomes very convenient. Thus they can get away by not investing in a copy of AutoCAD. The drawings could be DWG or DXF. Image formats that can be used are TIF (TIFF), JPG (JPEG), BMP, GIF and PNG etc. The program can batch convert a unlimited number of drawings. The drawing versions supported cover DWG/DXF versions R2.5 through 2008.
To start the process the first step is to collect the drawings. You can choose to add individual files or a complete folder. Choose if you want to use DWG or DXF files/folders. Choose the output folder if you do not like the default, choose the image format you need and then just start the conversion process. There are several options you can set. Scale your conversion using Extents, Display, or Layout Limits. You can also customize line widths to include in your drawing or suppress the display of lines. Customizable output enables you to choose the Size, Resolution, Output Color, and Background Color of the image file; SHX, Xref and Line width support. Supports paper space and model space.
Overall: A very handy tool for conversion of drawings in an industry format to images of many popular formats.
