DWG to DXF Converter Pro is a batch DWG and DXF bi-directional converter that allows you to convert DWG to DXF, DXF to DWG without the need of AutoCAD. It is also an AutoCAD drawing file version converter. The Pro version supports command line.

Pros: This is a batch converter of drawings from DWG to DXF and the other way round. No AutoCAD need to be installed for the converter to work. The application can also interconvert files that are compatible to different releases of AutoCAD. The version of the output file to be produced an be selected by the user. The user interface is simple and easy to use and works in a wizard-like fashion. One has to choose the required parameters and the conversion takes place automatically on a click on the convert button. Drawings to be converted can be added file by file. But one can add a folder too. All the drawings in the folder including drawings in the subfolders get loaded. Removing parts of the list is also possible to fine tune the list. That way one can be absolutely sure of the files to be converted. Next step in the process is to select the file type and the release versions. Output folder can be defined or selected via file browsing as is standard in Windows. What remains to be done thereafter is a click on the convert button.

Same settings and batch conversion facility is available through command line.

Cons: Problems, if any, in such conversion programs come up only when a wide variety is tried and there are problems usually. User feedback should be sought to find out what problems might exist.

Overall: This is a nice, convenient and useful utility for people dealing with AutoCAD drawings on a large scale and needing the web based formatted drawings too. The application is nice enough to rate a 4 star level.
