MetaDMS Scan Software is freeware application running under Windows XP/2000 /Vista OS useful for scanning paper documents from TWAIN compatible scanners.

Features: This application is a standalone Windows application that implements scanning of paper documents from ant TWAIN compatible source. The GUI is designed to work with touch-screens. The output produced is in PDF format. You are able to combine multiple images into one PDF document. Images are scanned into JPEG format by default. Picture compression function is available that can be set as necessary. PDF document related information can be set.

To increase the production speeds you can do continuous scanning without the dialog box. Buttons get deactivated automatically during the scanning process. You are able to activate or deactivate duplex mode as necessary. You can activate or deactivate the document feeder as necessary. Cancel the scanning at any time. Files can be named automatically by including date, time, prefix, some postfix txt strings and a separator. If the production batch need to be updated to a specific server the scanned documents can easily be sent to this server by FTP. Move or copy files to the FTP server. It is Windows XP, 2000 and Vista compatible.

Overall: A simple solution for scanning of large amount of documents. It is easy to use too.
