GPS is useful in many sectors like Defense, planning, tax assessment, navigation and many more. OkMap - GPS Mapping Software supports many features of GIS like project your raster map., create digital maps using point, line and polygon features. It supports English and Italian languages.
Features: The application allows import and export of maps. You can perform import ECW, DRG, OziExplorer and GPS Tuner maps. You can import data from Google Earth KML file, OziExplorer data and Geo-caching loc. Software supports very nice utilities like Geo-coding, Routing, GPS Babel converter, XSLT Transformations, coordinate conversion, distance and track grid generator. For routing you need to specify start and end points by providing latitude and longitude using deg, min and sec. Select type of transport as Motorcar, Bicycle and Foot and select path as shortest or fastest. Click on calculate button to calculate distance, you can also save track.
Software supports many features like auto routine, use digital terrain models to display the elevation, upload and download data to and from a GPS device, show Google Earth and Google Maps in map location. Receive customized navigation data from remote GPS devices; send current position to an OkMap remote server, conversions between different types of coordinates, datum, formats, etc. This application supports images in ecw, bmp, gif, jpg, png, tif and many others format.
