XDepth Raw Converter (XDRC) is a raw photo development and image processing software with integrated XDepth Raw and XDepth 48 image compression technologies. XDRC is capable of reading and converting raw files from most DSLR cameras.

It is compatible with most DSLR cameras and has XDepth RAW and XDepth 48 image compression functionalities. The digital camera inputs in RAW format are usually not compatible with most browsers and cannot be viewed easily. This application converts these photos to XDepth RAW files that are JPEG compatible and thus viewable in most popular browsers. Files shrink to about one fourth of their original size. Pixels are represented internally in the high dynamic range 96 bit/pixel float point format and has HDR tone mapping, contrast adjustments, color picking and custom white balance selection that add a whole range of flexibility to the processing that can be undertaken. Quite a few processing presets can be downloaded from the publisher`s site.

It can work with 48 bits/pixels images also. Load and save of TIFF, PNG and XDepth 48 file formats are possible. You can get JPEG compatible 48 bit/pixel images that can have high compression ratios and XDepth reconstruction.

Overall: Nice features for processing RAW images, quite functionality rich. Presets are useful for beginners. Being a version 1.0 release one needs to anticipate problems.
