Features: AV Audio Recorder with its wizard like interface is a highly useful recording tool. This compact program lets you record audio through various inputs coming into the sound card in your machine. The audio sources could be any of a range of sources that include microphone, vinyl records, audio CDs, your favorite video game, Internet broadcasts, programs like Real Player and other input lines on the sound card. Recording can be in several popular formats such as PCM, MP3, ADPCM, WMA and others. When you record, specify frequency, number of channels, bit rate, balance, volume settings and other parameters of supported formats. The tag information about audio tracks such as Title, Artist, Album, Comment etc can be added to the recording.

You can apply corrections to the recordings that can actually improve quality of the tracks. These could be normalizing the different channels of a stereo recording or limiting the dynamic range of a recording. A built-in player helps you listen to the edited file and make sure you got what you needed. The audio recordings are displayed in the spectral view mode and you can zoom in to be able to select precise points at which edits are to be effected. Edit actions available include Cut, Copy, Delete Silence, Paste, Paste From File, Mix, Mix From File etc. The visual paradigm makes editing simple by making it as easy as cut-paste set of actions. You can import or export files to do further processing if you like. Effects and filters that could be applied are Amplify, Delay, Fade, Flanger, Invert, Normalize, Reverse, Silence, Stretch, Vibrato, Echo and BandPassFilter, FFTFilter, HighPassFilter, HighShelfFilter, LowPassFilter, LowShelfFilter, NotchFilter etc.
