You finalize a list of files you want to convert, they all need to be of the same format of course. Set the output file format through the settings control. Set the path for the output files into the source folder or some other folder. On the properties tab of the settings you can choose parameters related to the format you have chosen. Input format parameters tab lets you choose parameters related to input format. All the required codec are built-in for example the WMA 9 format support includes the constant bit rate, variable bit rate and the lossless formats. MP3 encoding is done through the LAME encoder and OGG format through the Vorbis SDK. Re-sampling is supported too. As the conversions are done direct from one format to another without going through WAV as an intermediate step, the speed is quite speed.
Overall: Quite simple and easy to use for novice and experienced users. The controls are intuitive too. You should checkout your specific formats during the trial phase. With so many formats supported there`s always a possibility of hidden problems. Support for FLAC and AAC etc are missing.
