AllStar DVD Photo Slideshow is DVD photo album software to create Video-DVD`s from your photos to watch on TV.

Pros: AllStar DVD Photo Slideshow creates DVD photo album slideshow out of a collection of photos in easy steps such that they can be viewed on TV sets both standard and high definition. The DVDs then can easily be shared with friends and family.

First step is to select photographs. One can choose a complete album/folder at a time or pick and choose individual photographs. After loading a whole collection, photos could be deleted out of the final selection as well. If required some amount of corrections can be made in the contrast, brightness and gamma correction as could the individual DGB color balance could be adjusted. Transition effects consisting of various pan & zoom combinations can be selected or the program can apply effects from its library randomly. Mp3 tracks can be selected for the entire presentation from the one provided or from one’s own collection. Only thing left to be applied thereafter is if one wants to add text/caption/date/time or whatever text annotation one wants to add to the photos.

Step 2 is for selecting a photo background for the sort of cover page and reviewing the album created by the program. More than one album are itemized as menu items 1, 2, 3 etc. The user could play the albums and check for the overall effect and go to the DVD burning stage next. DVD burning is a one click process with the built in burner.

DVD formats supported are DVD+R/RW and EDV-R/RW in both single and dual layers. Photo formats supported are JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, ANI, PCX, RMF and so on. For the video output both NTSC and PAL formats are supported as are the aspect ratios of 4:3 and 16:9.

Cons: Little more control on the process would have been good.
