Flowchart Software published the package. EDraw creates flowcharts and business charts. The package supports basic flowcharts, organizational charts, business charts, HR diagrams, work flowcharts, programming flowcharts and network design diagrams.

Pros: The package has an amazing array of tools that make drawing of flowcharts very simple. Drawing area is well marked with horizontal and vertical grid scales. Every conceivable drawing tool, be it drawing a box, drawing arrows, flow chart symbols and so on are available. Another good point in favor is the way the tools are organized. It is in a MS Word like layout. Many tools have similar meanings, rest have subtitles and are intuitive. Placing the completed flowchart on the page also is easy.

Whole set of ready to use items are available in the library. Backgrounds to use, arrow shapes, audit flow chart shapes are available. In each category there are a fair number of options. You could insert documents from Word, Charts and excel tables/sheets.

Large number of flow chart samples, as used in various types of organizations, is available too. Style contains several color schemes.

With this wide variety of ready to use stuff and powerful drawing aids, this package is really flexible and is easy to use.

Cons: Examples provided cover quite a range but the sample images shown for many of those are hazy and text used are hard to read, looks like out of focus images.

Overall: Other than that small issue the feel of the package is good. It is quite an irritant as you start to expect very high quality, as with the rest of the package, from this package. Clear, readable sample would have been a very good tool to make for ease of use for a newbie. I’ll certainly assign a 4 and a half star to it.
