Modelweaver 3.00 is an easy-to-use, and powerful 3D object movie creating program, which can help the user to create high quality 3D, interactive VR object movies quickly. 4. Create and publish your 3D object movies as java applet embeded html pages, QTVR and Flash.
To use Modelweaver 3.00, a Digital Video Camera and a Turntable, such as Kaidan Motorized PiXi™-M Turntable, are necessary. It provides an extremely easy automatic approach of creating professional 3D Object Movie, and has the functions of:
1. The ability to use a FireWire™-enabled digital video camera to automatically capture the object images and then create the 3D VR object (The user can also utilize existing images or video captured by digital video cameras or still digital cameras.)
Note: Digital still cameras can be used if they have a video mode.
2. Enabling the user to edit, optimize and preview the quality of the 3D images.
3. Enabling the end user to observe the object in every direction and interactively control the VR object with the mouse
4. Creating the 3D object movies in Modelweaver Applet (a java applet embedded in html page, no plug-in required), QuickTime™ VR(QTVR) format or Flash format in order to publish the 3D Objects to a web server or CD.

Pros: Movies that are made of 3D objects and have interactive VR can be helped along in their creation by the application Modelweaver. Creating such movies to promote products, garments, collections, arts and crafts, antiques and other objects they want to display vividly on the Internet or CD can be easier with this tool.
New features on the current upgrade, the version 3.00, are the support for Flash output that has been added, limits on the dimension of the viewer in the publish settings has been removed, compatibility with Tourweaver 3.00 added and some new means of activation of the software has been added.
Inputs needed to the application are captured through digital still cameras, video can be captured through any Firewire enable interface camcorder. The application has extensive edit facilities that lets you preview the 3D movies created, edit and optimize those as required. Create and publish your 3D object movies as java applet embedded html pages, QTVR and Flash.
The movie created provides a rotating view of the object, a product to be highlighted at a selling site for example. The interactivity possible is that the end user viewing the object can zoom in or out as is comfortable. Direction of rotation too can be changed as can the speed of rotation. The object can also be turned around by mouse movement in the display area.
Views of the object all round is taken through a still camera with video capability or a digicam while the object rotates on a platform like a turntable for example.
The movies can be published as a HTML page or Quick Time VR format or a Flash movie for finally publishing it on a web page on a web server or a CD/DVD.
Cons: Because of the difficulties in collecting the required images, this application can obviously handle small objects only.
